Amwood Building Systems Case Study

Amwood Building Systems

THE CHALLENGE

When I joined Amwood Building Systems, marketing efforts lacked consistency across channels and brands. Sales materials, messaging, reporting, and builder communications varied significantly, making it difficult to accurately measure performance, support dealer recruitment efforts, and maintain a cohesive brand presence. In addition, limited marketing analytics and historical data made it challenging to evaluate ROI and identify growth opportunities.

THE STRATEGY

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing transformation initiative focused on brand consistency, measurable performance, builder engagement, and lead generation.

Key initiatives included:

  • Establishing baseline marketing metrics and reporting systems
  • Developing co-branding guidelines for authorized builder dealerships
  • Redesigning sales and training materials
  • Launching strategic newsletter and content marketing programs
  • Implementing social media and digital marketing strategies
  • Creating builder recruitment and lead nurturing campaigns
  • Defining KPIs and performance benchmarks across all marketing channels

THE EXECUTION

Collaborated with executive leadership, sales teams, and key stakeholders to identify business objectives, marketing challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Implemented tracking and reporting systems utilizing Google Analytics, email marketing metrics, social media analytics, and QR code tracking to establish performance benchmarks and monitor campaign effectiveness.

Developed an annual marketing budget and allocated resources based on business priorities and expected return on investment. Created integrated content strategies designed to increase builder recruitment, strengthen engagement with existing dealers, and improve overall brand awareness.

Automated email and social media marketing initiatives, implemented A/B testing to optimize campaign performance, and developed co-branding guidelines that enhanced the existing builder marketing reimbursement program while improving brand consistency across the dealer network.

THE RESULTS

  • Tripled builder dealership sign-ups within the first year
  • Achieved newsletter open rates exceeding 70% among existing builders and over 50% among prospective builder leads
  • Increased organic Facebook engagement by 180%
  • Expanded qualified builder sales pipeline opportunities
  • Improved brand consistency and marketing adoption across the dealer network
  • Established marketing analytics, KPI tracking, and performance reporting to support future growth initiatives

KEY TAKEAWAYS

By implementing a data-driven, multi-channel marketing strategy and aligning marketing efforts with sales objectives, Amwood transformed marketing from a collection of disconnected activities into a measurable growth engine that supported dealer recruitment, engagement, and long-term brand development.
